Kwazulu-Natal
Aliwal Shoal Aliwal Shoal is located some 40min drive south of the sprawling coastal city of Durban and is rated in the top 10 dive sites in the world for its close encounters with Ragged Tooth and Tiger Sharks. The best time of year to see the "Raggies" is from July/August to October/November when the sharks, which have followed the annual migration of sardines, converge on the Shoal in their hundreds to breed.

Sodwana It is widely accepted that Sodwana Bay is the Mecca of diving in South Africa. Protea Banks is rated as one of the world's best shark diving spots. Species encountered on the reef include Bull (Zambezi), Tiger, Hammerhead, Thresher, Copper, Dusky, Ragged Tooth, Black Tip, and even the odd Mako shark. There is also a variety of reef fish, ribbon tail skates, moray eels, spotted eagle rays, manta rays and large schools of pelagic fish. Depending on the season one can also see dolphins and whales. All dives are drift dives and are lead by local dive masters who know the reef intimately. This is adventure diving at its best but for experienced divers only!

Mozambique:
Inhambane Mozambique is, without a doubt, one of Africa's best kept secrets. Diving in Mozambique is world-famous and, while here, we usually head for legendary Manta Reef. This dive-site, located just south of the ancient slave-trade city of Inhambane, is arguably Africa's finest and undeniably world-class. Highlights on the Reef and elsewhere in the area include huge Manta and Devil Rays, commonly encountered Whale Sharks, Humpback Whales, Sharks, various Pelagic Fish and vast shoals of Reef Fish and Game Fish.
